Island Night is a beautiful and unique painting by Sally Carver. The image is created using glass enamel - glass powder in a paint form applied directly to a glass "canvas". The painting is then fired in a kiln to nearly 700C, sometimes several times, as the enamel layers are built up to create a vitreous glaze. The painting is then set into a plain white frame and signed by Sally.
Island Night is painted onto a 10cm x 10cm glass square and the frame size is 23cm x 23cm.
